How to change the SMVI alert email to contain a different IP address / hostname in the email body

Symptoms
In a multihomed SMVI server environment, it may be necessary to change the IP address in the email alert body to allow the URL in the alert to be accessible from the network the user is on. 
How to change the SMVI alert email to contain a different IP address / hostname in the email body

Cause of this problem
A multihomed SMVI host can have an IP address due to network design requirements that is not reachable by the admin host. This IP can be in the email alert body instead of the public interface of the SMVI server.

Solution
To correct this condition the public interface of the SMVI server needs to be in the email alert. The following steps allow the email alert body to be customized to include a different IP address:

Edit <SMVI install dir>\server\etc\smvi.override

Note: If this file does not exist, create it.
In SMVI 1.x, add the following to smvi.override svmi.hostname=<IP/hostname to use>WARNING: The option above is spelled wrong (svmi.hostname instead of smvi.hostname). Do not correct the misspelled option.
In SMVI 2.x the option required is smvi.address=<IP address>
Restart the SMVI service.
Manually trigger a backup with an alert.
In SMVI 2.0  the configuration value has changed, there are two options :

smvi.hostname=foo.bar.com
smvi.address=aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd

However, in 2.0, only adding the smvi.hostname entry does not produce the desired result, you need to add both.
